Association of Language Learning Short Film Competition
Several students in Years 8 and 9 recently took part in a Short Foreign Film competition run by the Association of Language Learning partnered with Bristol University.
They were judged on confidence, teamwork, language and editing skills. All of the entries were brilliant to watch and showed a wide range of imagination, creative and editing skills, as well as several different languages. Kaylee, Fliss, Ella and Abi from Year 8 have reached the final!
As the finalists come from all across the UK, on Monday 1 July the winners from Backwell School will take part in the final event online with Bristol University and all the other finalists.
The winning team used several Playmobil kits for their murderous story (most stories included some sort of murder!) demonstrating impressive editing skills, with Manu Chao featuring on the soundtrack. Well done to all those students who took part and good luck to the finalists!
Below are few clips from the winning entry which will give you an idea of the story!
