The sun shone brightly on our first day in St Malo which started with an invigorating walk around the ramparts and exploration of the beautiful old town before transferring to the Surf School for an afternoon of banana boating and paddle boarding.  Students were greeted warmly by their exchange partners at school and made their way home to meet their French families for the week.

Over the next eight days, we packed in a variety of cultural and linguistic activities including a trip to the UNESCO world heritage site of Le Mont Saint Michel, oyster tasting at Cancale, a day tree climbing (squeezing through barrels, zip wiring across a lake and hugging a lot of trees), completing a treasure hunt and finding out about the fascinating history of Brittany and its customs.  

We were extremely impressed by the enthusiasm, openness and resilience demonstrated by our students and would like to extend a ‘grand merci’ to our French colleagues and exchange families for having made our stay so enjoyable and memorable!
