The team, consisting of students from a number of schools in North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, had previously won the regional finals against other South-West schools in March earlier this year, which then put them through to the UK Championships.   

Ella T competed in the long jump and 4-lap individual race.  Danny B competed in the triple jump, the 4 x 1 lap relay and the 4 x 2 lap relay, whilst Ed S competed in the 6-lap individual race, the triple jump and the obstacle relay race.

The students competed well, with the boys’ team finishing second overall and the girls’ team finishing sixth.

The Avon Schools Sports Hall Association reported that all students competing performed to the highest level and were a credit to themselves, their parents and their schools.  Congratulations to Ella, Ed and Danny!
