Our fabulous library team held a Bake-a-Book competition and a Door Decoration competition for World Book Day on Thursday. The two competitions ran simultaneously and saw students demonstrate their creative skills all in the name of promoting reading and books.

The library team were blown away by the baking entries with students making their own cakes, cookies and muffins inspired by their favourite books.  Similarly, classroom doors were transformed into book covers throughout the school with tutor groups working together to design their tutor group doors. 

It was such a successful World Book Day and the library team are now looking forward to the school's book fair on Wednesday 13 March, provided by local bookshop, Storysmith. Students will need to bring in cash (or card) to make their purchases.  However, Storysmith will also accept World Book Day vouchers and book tokens on the day.
